Make a Treasure Tree

Make a Treasure Tree

Have you ever been out on an adventure and found just loads of super-awesome things to collect? You know the sort of thing: a beautiful feather, a rainbow-coloured leaf, a funny-shaped stick or even a snapped-off flower? You have? We knew it! This activity is going to be right up your street because it will give you a way to show off your adventure treasure collection for your whole family or class to enjoy with your very own treasure tree.

You Need:

  • A good stick – nothing too big or spiky.
  • Scissors – mind your paws with these.
  • String or ribbon – whatever you have at home. A mixture of different ones is great.
  • An adventure collection – quick, ask your adult to come with you so you can collect some treasure to display.

How To:

  1. Grab your string and cut a length that is 3 times as long as the stick you have.
  2. Wrap one end of the string around one end of the stick 3 times then tie it in a nice safe double knot.
  3. Do the same with the other end of the stick and string.
  4. You should now be able to pick the stick up using the string.
  5. Get some pieces of string or ribbon and cut them into smaller lengths that you can tie on to the stick so they make a beautiful curtain.
  6. Attach your treasure and VOILA – a treasure tree.

Happy adventuring!
