Plant a Welly Boot Parade
Share
Wellies are great! They keep your feet dry so you can stomp in the mud and splash in the puddles – brilliant! BUT sometimes you can get a hole or rip in your wellies (this has happened to us lots) which means your wellies let all the water in – yikes! Rather than throw them away and send them to landfill, why not reuse them and make your very own welly boot parade?
You Need
- Wellies
- Compost
- Small stones – you can collect these on a welly walk.
- Seeds – whatever you fancy. We sell some lovely bee-friendly wildflower seeds here.
How To
- Grab a welly and put some of the stones in the bottom. These will help the water drain but also stop the wellies from getting blown over in the wind.
- Now add some compost to your welly. Do the same as you would with a plant pot and fill them almost to the top.
- Now get your seeds and plant away!
- Give them a water and find a beautiful place to put your wellies in a parade so you can watch your flowers bloom - better than a broken welly hey?
Happy parading!
