Simple Planting Steps

A Grow Guide is included with each GrowTub, with clear, child-friendly instructions. The process of planting a GrowTub is designed for simplicity, joy and circularity — so that each component can be composted, recycled or reused afterwards.

1. Add water to the soil (coir) disc.
2. Sprinkle the buckwheat and white clover seeds evenly over the surface and lightly cover with soil.
3. Wait while the seeds germinate — and use the QR code to learn what the seeds are doing under the soil.
4. Look for shoots after a few days to a week. White clover usually appears first, with buckwheat following on.
5. Keep the soil moist but not soggy and turn the pot occasionally so the plants grow evenly.
6. Once the seedlings outgrow the GrowTub, plant them outside in spring or summer in a sunny or partly sunny spot and let your mini meadow spread.
