Simple Planting Steps

A Grow Guide is included with each GrowTub, with clear, child-friendly instructions. The process of planting a GrowTub is designed for simplicity, joy and circularity — so that each component can be composted, recycled or reused afterwards.

1. Add water to the soil (coir) disc.
2. Sprinkle the lettuce and cress seeds evenly over the surface and lightly cover with soil.
3. Wait while the seeds germinate — and use the QR code to learn what the seeds are doing under the soil.
4. Look for shoots after a few days to a week. Cress usually appears first.
5. Harvest a little cress later on to give the lettuce space to grow.
6. Once the plants outgrow the GrowTub, plant them outside in spring or summer and keep picking fresh leaves.
